Arrive at your appointment with clean skin if possible. There should be no lotion, makeup, perfume, powder, bath or shower oil present on the skin to be treated. You will be given the opportunity to remove your make-up in the event this was not possible. We will ask you to arrive one hour early before your treatment to take photos, sign consents, numb you for the procedure, and answer any remaining questions you may have.

Before discharge, a topical antibacterial ointment may be applied to the face, no bandages or wraps are necessary. You will be given samples of a topical antibiotic to use for up to 3 days after the procedure or you may apply aquaphor if you chose. If you purchased a series of 3 treatments, we will provide you with an additional healing ointment; this ointment is not included in promotional packages. Makeup can not be worn for a 48 hours after the procedure. If there are no areas with active inflammation, makeup may be applied after this time. Do not apply anything to your skin other than the ointment we give you for 24 hours. After 24 hours, use only a gentle cleanser and moisturizer without any active ingredients to clean and hydrate your skin. Continue this routine for 5 days or until inflammation has subsided. Avoid hot baths, saunas, exercise, or sweating for 48 hours. You may resume the use of your usual skin care products after approximately 5 days, with the exception of retinoids and chemical exfoliants. Retinoids and chemical exfoliants may be resumed 14 days after treatment. Treat the skin gently, avoid scrubbing or trauma to the treated areas, as if you had a sunburn. Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation (darker pigmentation). The use of zinc oxide sunblock spf 30 at all times after 24 hours is necessary.
